Contact form spam most often comes in the form of automated computer software, which is easily blocked by a captcha. Unfortunately, captchas cannot block human spammers, as they can properly navigate the captcha’s requirements. So, if you are only seeing a handful of spam messages a week from your contact form, there may be an actual person submitting the form. If the issue is persistent or gets worse, we do have IP and Geo location blocking that we can apply in some instances.
If you have a captcha already in place and are still seeing a high volume of spam messages from your contact form, please let us know. You can find out more and see our recommended solution here.
