About Liberty & Vine

One of Billings’ oldest buildings located on historic Montana Avenue, Liberty & Vine offers an incredible selection of Made in Montana merchandise, local groceries, fine cheeses, pasta, and hard-to-find items you may have thought were long gone.

The Project

Web Design

Liberty & Vine Country Store came to us looking for a custom designed, mobile responsive website with a vintage farmhouse aesthetic. We combined illustrations, rustic textures and typography with a unique fixed position chalkboard sidebar menu to achieve the look.

The site features photo galleries and a blog in addition to their old country store design aesthetic.

Exterior Sign and Decals

The Unisource building, previously known as the Carpenter Paper Company, is a striking brick warehouse built over 100 years ago on historic Montana Avenue. During their renovations, they worked to keep the integrity of the building as original as possible, re-using as much of the hardware, doors, and fixtures.

So our task was to design an exterior sign that married the country general store aesthetic of the newly transformed space with the historical gravitas of the location through design elements that pulled from the structure itself. We decided on a projecting sign with custom aluminum mounts that was overly stress tested and secured to the brick facade.

The Result

We worked to ensure that the designs, both web and sign, met Liberty & Vine’s functional and aesthetic needs and upheld its iconic status that married the vintage farmhouse feel of the newly transformed space with the historical gravitas of the location through clever use of materials and design elements.

We think it turned out amazing!
